Privacy Policy

When handling personal data, we act in accordance with the legal system of the Czech Republic and directly applicable regulations of the European Union, in particular Act No. 110/2019, on the processing of personal data, as amended, and Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on certain information society services and on amending certain acts, and in accordance with the provisions of Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, the General Data Protection Regulation, as amended.

In the following lines, we will explain how and for what purpose we process your personal data and who the processors may be. This information is important, so we hope you will take the time to read it carefully.

Who is the controller of your data?

You grant your consent to RESCOM, s. r. o., ID No. 29103428, with registered office at Klínovecká 998, 363 01 Ostrov, Czech Republic, registered in the public register maintained by the Regional Court in Pilsen, Section C, Insert 24904/KSPL, to process personal data as a controller in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and the GDPR Regulation under the terms below.

What data do we process as a controller?

  • Phone number
  • Email address

Other indirect data

  • IP address
  • Cookies (for the purpose of offering relevant content and to make browsing the website easier)
  • Browser and operating system version information to ensure that the website is displayed correctly

When is it not necessary for us to obtain your consent to personal data processing?

We may process personal data without your consent for the following purposes only:

  • Performance of a contract for the provision of a service or product
  • Fulfilment of legal obligations arising for us from generally binding legal regulations
  • Processing for legitimate interest (e.g., direct marketing, safety, and protection of life)

For what purpose do we process personal data and how long do we keep it?

The data may be used for commercial and marketing purposes, i.e., to maintain a database of website users and to offer goods and services, for as long as the legal reason for this processing and use of personal and other data lasts. In other words, we collect your personal data so that you can use our services and so that we can keep you informed of news. Read more below about the purposes for which we manage each piece of data according to where it is filled in.

Completion of the form – we process the personal data you provide when completing the form in order to perform the contract, i.e., to deliver goods or services. We may also process the data to comply with our legal obligations (in particular our registration obligations, archiving of tax documents, etc.) and to protect our legal rights.

Subscription to newsletters and promotional offers – we process your personal data to send you commercial communications, including offers of products or services, as part of direct marketing. We may use your email address without your express consent to send you commercial communications about goods or services similar to those you have ordered from us in the past. You may unsubscribe from our newsletters by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” or similar link at the bottom of each commercial message. Data management, storage services, and newsletter distribution are provided by:

We will store the data for a maximum of five years or until you withdraw your consent.

Submitting a comment/rating – we will store your personal information for the purpose of submitting the comment/rating and identifying the author of the comment/rating. The information will only be used for purposes related to the technical delivery of the service. We will store the data for a maximum of ten years or until you withdraw your consent.

We may use identification and address data for purposes related to internal statistics under the doctrine of legitimate interest. The anonymised results of these statistics help us to improve our services, including through analysis of user behaviour and marketing.

Personal data collected through cookies will be processed with your consent (which can be given by ticking the relevant option on the web interface after you have been informed that we use cookies and after you have had the opportunity to review this policy). We may continue to process the personal data we collect through cookies even when you continue to use the web interface after you have been notified of such processing of your personal data. The personal information collected through cookies helps us to provide user support and improve our services, including through analysis of user behaviour and marketing.

All personal data collected for the above purposes are provided on a completely voluntary basis, when consent must be given by the user through active interaction (ticking the consent box), or under the legitimate interest doctrine. You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your data at any time by email.

What other third-party services do we use?

In order to obtain feedback on our services or products and to further promote them, we also use the following third-party services which may collect personal data and operate under a data processing agreement or an amendment to a data processing agreement.

Smartsupp

In order to improve the browsing experience on the website, we use a third-party application called Smartsupp to provide online chat and support services to our customers. When you use this website, your personal information may be collected by a third party, including Smartsupp.com, s. r. o., ID No. 03668681. Smartlook

In order to improve the browsing experience on the website, we use a third-party application called Smartlook to monitor browsing data. When you use this website, your personal information may be collected by us or by third parties, including Smartsupp.com, s. r. o., ID No. 03668681. If you do not wish the service to collect your browsing data, you can opt out of the collection in your browser here.

Hotjar

In order to improve your experience on the website, we use a third-party application called Hotjar to monitor website browsing. When you use this website, your personal data may be collected by us or by a third party, including Hotjar Ltd, Level 2, St Julians Business Centre, Elia Zammit Street 3, St Julians STJ 1000, Malta, Europe. Who has access to your personal data?

Your personal data will be processed by the controller within the meaning of the Personal Data Protection Act, but may also be processed for the controller by other entities (as processors or controllers).

Controllers

We may also authorise other data processors or operators (such as carriers or other operators involved in the performance of a contract and the fulfilment of our obligations), but only to the extent necessary for the performance of the contract. We will not share your personal information with anyone else. The personal data and other information we receive will be fully protected against misuse. The personal data will be processed in electronic form in an automated manner or in printed form in a non-automated manner. Your personal data will not be transferred to countries outside the European Union.

What are my rights regarding the protection of my personal data?

  • To request information from us about what personal data are being processed.
  • To ask us to clarify the processing of your personal data.
  • To request access to your data and to update or rectify them.
  • To ask us to delete your personal data.
  • To request data portability.
  • In certain cases, to be informed of a personal data breach.

At any time, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data or the controller’s failure to fulfil its obligations under the GDPR. The supervisory authority in the Czech Republic is the Office for Personal Data Protection, located at Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, www.uoou.cz.

Updates to the Privacy Policy

We may modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be effective as soon as they are made available on this website.
